A Trump-appointed FCC could go another way, said Douglas A. Levin, president of the consulting firm EdTech Strategies, LLC.
“I strongly suspect that under a Trump Administration there will be pressure to reduce the overall universal service fee, which would put pressure on the E-rate and other programs,” Levin said.
“We’re in a period of uncertainty. For larger companies, savvy political players will be spending a lot of money on their K Street lobbyists to influence decision makers. But right now, it’s a bit of a blank slate.”
